Christmas Eve we woke up to a surprise from Dina! She took Elfie selfies with all of us while we slept and brought a little doll camera and elf-sized cookies and milk for the girls' dolls! Rylie and Remy went ballistic about this all day!
Watching Elf on the Shelf movie
Later I took the girls to our church's children's Christmas Eve service.
They both insisted they weren't babies and didn't need glow sticks and could hold the candles. So I carefully let them have them. I had to draw the line though when Remy requested her 2 dolls she brought with her each have their own candle!
Then we rushed home to change clothes super fast and throw dinner on the stove and Mimi and Gaga came to attend the candlelight Christmas Eve service with us. David had to work at another church downtown for their televised service.

When we got home, we had our yummy meatball soup dinner with french bread and then the girls got to work on their traditions!
Reindeer food outside first. Rylie was so cute and sprinkling it ever so carefully.
Then Remy got her half and just dumped it in one place lol
Then Rylie read The Night Before Christmas to Remy
Then, per the letter the girls also received that morning from Dina, Santa gave them permission to give her 1 hug each!
Cookies and milk

The next morning Santa had some surprises!
Remy's Santa goodies
Rylie's Santa goodies
Love seeing them run in on Christmas morning!
Rylie always checks the cookies and milk first thing lol
Remy's face! lol
All she asked Santa for was "happy chappy" (aka chapstick) and she got it!
That's our Remster! lol
My favorite thing was this sweet card Rylie made to go with my new tea kettle!
Then we cleaned up a little and went to church in our pj's! We sang Christmas carols, heard a short and sweet message and sang Happy Birthday to Jesus with cake!
Then we got dressed and ready to head to Mimi's for Christmas round 2!
I had so much fun watching them that I only took 2 photos!
Such a great and sweet Christmas this year!
Here's pictures of our decor this year and Christmas card!
Outside lights and candy cane sidewalk (that David hates lol)
The girls switched trees this year but split the ornaments lol Rylie now hates pink so she gave Remy the pink tree and she used the white one with blue and green ornaments and Remy just used the purple on hers!
