My 30th Birthday!

I can't believe I'm finally 30!! And now all my friends are 40 or about to be 40 in the next year or 2. lol

I had a really fun celebration at our house that David put together. Years ago I had said I wanted to do a roaring 20's theme party for my last night in my 20's, which was perfect because it was a Friday night. But then I had my doubts and told David nobody will want to come and everyone will probably forget my birthday so let's not do it. Well, he went to a friend of mine and got email addresses and put it together anyway! He told me the week of because he still needed some email addresses from me that my friend didn't have! I'm so glad he went ahead and put this together because friends did come and it ended up being a really fun night full of laughs and good company!

I can't post ALL of the photos from the party ;-) But here's some great ones. Definitely a birthday to remember!

Our Mint Julep bar

(Don't worry, all "cigarettes" and "cigars" are fake props!!)

Love this one of the guys!

I forgot to put out some things before I took pictures of the food table! But it was a great selection of popular dishes from the 20's. And meatballs. Just because they're awesome!

Saturday morning I woke up 30!!!

The girls spent Friday night at their Mimi's house so we met them for brunch Saturday morning and hung out for awhile.

Then David and I went out to dinner!

Since Indian Chicken Curry is one of my favorite dishes now and I finally got David onto it, we went to an Indian restaurant. SOOO good!

So far I'm loving my 30's!

Week after Christmas, New Years Eve Party, Ice Skating!

The week after Christmas we got settled in with our new toys. Rylie lost a tooth, her 9th! Between Christmas and Tooth Fairy, Mommy was broke! Ha!

We also had a sad week of goodbyes.

Our neighbor across the street's family went to Saudi Arabia for the next 6 months for their dad's job. And Mimi's coworker Dawn left her job of 10 years at Mimi's office. The girls don't know that place without Miss Dawn, heck I don't know that place without her! She had just started when I met David!

We also enjoyed our new toys a lot!!

New Year's Eve we went to a party at our friend's house!

The girls had never been to a NYE party before. We've always just done our own little casual thing at home and I think now the girls think we've deprived them!

They had a lot of fun with their buddies!

Their neighbors set off huge fireworks

Which scared Remy a LOT!

She's already been talking nonstop about how she doesn't want to see the fireworks in Maine for 4th of July this Summer!

Rylie had a great time with the sparklers though!

This was the best NYE by far!!

CHEERS to 2016!

We started the new year off right and resumed our tradition of family ice skating!!

It was Remy's first time and she was SO EXCITED about it!!

Until she actually got out there! She cried and said "I don't like it!"

Then 2 minutes later, she was fine and loved it!!

Rylie was having a blast the whole time!

Turns out Remy's a pro with this little walker! She almost didn't need it. She has great balance from her gymnastics classes and did so well for her first time!

Rylie did really great too!

Daddy and his girls watching the zambonie!

First family activity of the new year!

We hope to do things like this more often this year and not let extra-curriculars or other things get in the way of family time.

The big tree outside of the ice skating place

The girls brought their dolls too, Remy's was dressed in her ice skating outfit!

Christmas Day!!!

These photos are all kind of out of order!

The girls had the best Christmas ever!

Big Boy ornament from Ohio!

She REALLY wanted babushka dolls from Russia! Thank you Amazon prime for a last-minute gift find!

She really wanted a brown, stuffed animal horse. So random but she was in heaven to get it!
(Funny story, we were taking turns opening gifts and it was Remy's turn and I said "which one do you want to open next?" and she said "The one that's my brown stuffed animal horse." Haha!)

Remy was so sweet and decided on her own to get Rylie the other Grace, American Girl books.

A surprise gift hidden behind the tree!
(That had been there since we put the tree up and neither of the girls ever noticed! Ha!)

Christmas at Mimi's house!
