Hiking with Henry

We have been SO BUSY with our Girl Scouts this year! The girls have been having a blast. Last Saturday our troop drove out to camp and did Hiking with Henry. We took a 2 hour nature walk and learned about different kind of trees and saw 3 snakes! The weather was still cool enough to enjoy such a walk and thankfully we had no rain!

See the snake?

Snake #2 (I didn't get a photo of the 3rd)

Henry showing the girls how to cool off in the Summertime. Stick your wrist into cool water. This was Spring water that eventually feeds into Lake Houston.

Rylie volunteered to try it.

Deathly poisonous fungus, not a mushroom!

Almost to the end!

Then our 3 Daisy girls taught another Daisy troop that attended with us the Girl Scout Law song as part of their bridging requirement. We ate sack lunches and then Rylie and I headed out before smores because we had to drive up to Waco! More on that next!
