What I'm Loving Wednesday

1. Rylie's official Spring pictures from school arrived this week. She looks so grown up!

2. This dress I bought from a monogram resale website only for kids with "R" names. Perfect condition and only $10 including shipping! I live for great deals!

3. Looking at ideas for Remy's big girl room (that we wont be doing until at least this Fall, but I cant help looking around now!) I've had purple/blue in mind but I also like coral/blue too.

4. This yummy Cheeseburger Cauliflower recipe that's for dinner tonight! Yum!

5. Just having a good laugh....

Happy Hump Day!

Love, Hug, and Groom

Saturday we had a Girl Scout field trip with Rylie's Daisy troop!
We carpooled with a few other Daisies.
We took the troop to a horse farm that's owned by the Girl Scout council.
The girls were ecstatic to see the horses when we arrived!
Group photo! (1 girl couldn't make it)
Troop with the leaders
It was so pretty!

We took a tour of the camp first.

They have cabins on site where girls can camp during the Summer

Showing the girls the rooms they can stay in when they get older

Raegan and Rylie

Then it was time to see the horses!

The girls got to groom and pet them

Rylie was so cute and excited!

All the girls wanted to braid the horse's mane!

The barn with the 3 horses they got to visit.

This is how you can see like a horse sees.

Older Girl Scouts take care of the camp and barn. They gave us a tour of the whole place.

They learn tricks on this pummel horse for the rodeo and parades.

Where horses get Dr checkups.

Helmet and boot room

Classroom where the girls take tests to move up a level on what they're allowed to do, etc.
Rylie had so much fun and we were all exhausted. We packed picnic lunches and ate then handed out patches the girls earned for the trip. Looking forward to more fun things planned this Spring!

Rylie's Spring Kindergarten Portraits

Here's our pretty girl's Spring pictures! Above is the background we chose on picture day. The rest are more prints they sent (that I scanned.....I know...tsk tsk).

They have more backgrounds online so I ended up ordering one that's not on here. It's cute with coral flowers in the back that match Rylie's dress. I cant put that one on here because it's covered in "proof" so much you can barely see Rylie. And since I spent $30 on the prints plus shipping, I think I'm ok uploading these for the sake of the Grandparents to see! :)

My Valentines

Well, we've had a long week! Monday afternoon Rylie came home from school not feeling well.

That night she had a fever, so she stayed home Tuesday (with a fever lingering). Wednesday her fever was gone all day, but a slight rash appeared. A neighbor told me "scarlet fever" was going around their preschool so I immediately googled it and the rash looked just like Rylie's! We rushed to the pediatrician and they confirmed it was "scarlet fever." So we headed home with some meds and was told she could return to school in 24 hours.

We quarantined her in her room to hopefully keep Remy from catching it too. Daddy put a tv/dvd player temporarily in her room. She was in heaven! She never had a fever come back after Tues but she stayed home Thur as well to get a full day of antibiotics in her.

Valentine lunches I packed the girls this week!

Thursday Remy had her school party.

SO excited to see Mommy!

Busy eating her "wunch"

Finally got a cookie! I made them for the party and she'd been eyeing them for 2 days!

Cookies I made

Making her door hanger

All about the heart shape they learned this month!

Friday Rylie returned to school while Remy and I had a MOPS leadership meeting.

I rushed to Rylie's school party after my meeting.

They had an ice cream party!

Giving her teacher her present.

Rylie and Remy's teachers all got a "Little Ceasar's" giftcard and some raspberry Hershey kisses!

Rylie making her craft!

A cute keychain!

Me and my big girl

Doing one more craft before school gets out

After Remy's nap we got the girls to do their presents. I had to get pictures of them first! Aren't they the sweetest sisters?!!

They did this all on their own!! Love them!!

Couldn't ask for 2 sweeter Valentines!

Goody time!

I gave David a gift basket I put together. Flashlight because he's the "light of my life." Batman crispy chocolates (his favorite) because he's a "super hero" to us. Duck Dynasty book (he loves that show) because he makes our home a "dynasty" to us. Taco Cabana giftcard because.....well, just because he likes their breakfast burritos lol I should've gotten a Whataburger one to say "what-a-hubby" but I didnt think of that until after I bought Taco Cabana. Kinda dorky, but he loves this kind of stuff.

Rylie brought me a present from the girls with a bag they decorated!

A lobster shirt!!! I'm so excited to wear this in Maine this Summer!
(Also, if you're a fan of FRIENDS "he's her lobster!")

I was also excited to get my favorite-chocolate covered strawberries! And I dont even feel bad for not sharing with the girls ;-)

I think Rylie was a little excited to get Smurfs 2 DVD. I felt so bad she didnt get it for Christmas (because 3 people each thought someone else was getting it for her)

Remy lovin her Mickey Mouse singing card!

And chocolate!! And Rylie has a "Pinkalicious" book on Fairy Houses, so she'll be ready to make some in Maine this Summer!!

We've had a low-key night at home. David worked so the girls and I ordered chinese, had lots of giggling, and watched Smurfs 2. Pretty nice night!
