Christmas Day 2012

The girls were awake bright and early!! We locked Rylie's door so she wouldn't come down before we were ready but she went into Remy's room and was just talking to her, telling her all about it! So cute!
Finally they came running in! (Remy's running behind her in the kitchen)

Rylie was so excited! And said "Santa did this and this!" pointing to her gifts and his plate of cookies gone.

Remy went straight for her car!

Rylie's top wish was the Brave movie and it came in her stocking!

Love this of the girls checking out their goodies!

Remy thought the babydoll bed was for her to sit on and she opened her stocking on it.

Ready to open her gifts!

Remy's loot!

Rylie's other top wish was the Pocahontas barbie with clothes set and Capt John Smith barbie!

Remy got some cute toys from sister
And a new baby doll that looks just like she did at birth! She loves baby dolls right now!
Then our Christmas morning got interesting. We had storms coming and it was super windy out. We lost power about 10 or 11? Then my phone had this siren going off and it was an alert (that I apparently now get?) saying "severe weather in your area, tornado warning, take shelter now." I looked outside in one direction-blue skies with no clouds......the other direction-huge dark gray clouds heading to us. So we waited until they passed before we headed to David's mom's house. We still didnt have power so I couldn't use my hair straightner and put my on makeup in the dark lol
But we finally made it to Mimi's for Christmas with them!

They were excited to see Mimi and Gaga!

Mimi and her big girl

Rylie's FAV gift by far! She's played with this everyday so much!
Remy loves her baby doll from uncle Daniel too!

David, Rylie, and Remy playing with Remy's magnetic blocks aunt Lana sent her. I caught her smiling then.....

Got this face! Ha!

They were so cute playing these together!
Merry Christmas everyone!

Christmas Eve

Our Christmas Eve was different this year. For the first time in 8 Christmases, we didnt go to David's church he works at downtown for their program. They werent televising this year so David didnt have to work. So we went to our new church in our neighborhood for that service, then got some hot chocolate and drove around looking at Christmas lights!
When we got home, Rylie put out her reindeer food she made at school. Poor thing thought she was going to get to FEED the reindeer that night herself. She didnt realize she'd just throw it out for them to eat later and that she wouldn't actually get to see them until we explained it to her.

Our front door decor

David was bathing Remy while Rylie and I were outside and then we saw a baby in a diaper on the bridge!

After we came in and did Rylie's bath, there was a letter from Dina, Rylie and Remy's Elf!!! Since Rylie has just loved Dina so much, Santa told Dina it would be ok if each girl gave her one hug before she left that night! Since she wont be back until next Thanksgiving.

OH BOY! Can you just see the Christmas magic in this photo?? I love it!

Rylie was SO EXCITED!
(In case you dont know the story, you cant touch your elf or the magic will go away. So she's been longong to hug her elf for years and never could! This was a special treat Santa said she could give one hug and her magic wouldn't go away.)

Remy's turn!

Remy didnt get what the big deal was and threw Dina on the floor! LOL

Then Dina went back on the tree and Rylie said goodbye to her. Remy wasnt into the Christmas Eve activities so we put her to bed and David read Rylie "The Night Before Christmas" since he's usually working at his church and doesnt get to.
I've really not been into Christmas this year....which is highly unusual for me. It just didnt feel like Christmas this year. I dont know....but this just shows you how out of it I was. David read Rylie the story and we tucked her in bed and started cleaning up the kitchen. Then I realized we never put out cookies and milk for Santa!

So I got Rylie back up out of bed so she could do that real quick. I couldn't believe I'd forgotten about one of the main things we do on Christmas Eve! Glad I remembered about it in time!

Later on Santa made his stop and everyone had a good night sleep.

Grandaddy and Deedee Christmas

Today we had our Christmas with Grandaddy and Deedee at our house.
As usual, Remy wasnt into the whole photo scene!

Grandaddy and Deedee with their girls

We made some yummy stuffed chickens from a local meat market. We love these! Our fav is the broccoli, cheese, and rice!

Then we exchanged a few gifts!

Remy was happy now!

David and his brother Daniel who joined us as well. We had a good Sunday get together celebrating Christmas with them.
I also wanted to post pictures of our Christmas cards display! I just did this foyer table with our nativity scenes and a few cards that wouldn't fit on our door...

A little closet door in our foyer I just tape all our cards too. I like being able to see them all at once!

"Happy Rockin' Birthday, Jesus" School Program

Last night was Rylie's school Christmas program. It was a Rocking Happy Birthday, Jesus theme.
Trying to get pictures of both girls dressed up so pretty!

My big girl. I let her pick out one of mommy's necklaces to wear. She picked out this dress in the store because it looked like "Eloise's."

Rylie and her buddy Logan before the program

Rylie's class walking in. This program is NUTS! There's a TON of people that come to this. I brought both girls an hour before it started and we still could only get seats in the back.

Thankfully I got this new camera lens awhile back so I could zoom WAY in to see Rylie!

Watching the birth of Jesus little act. She was so funny after the program and just talked away about how much she liked Mary's outfit and dressed up around the house as Mary with "baby Jesus" after.

Their program was really cute. I just wish it was better seating/viewing. And I wish there hadnt been a million rude adults standing at the front blocking everyone.

And this was Remy pretty much the whole time. Bow thrown off. Shoes thrown off. TRYING to get those tights off!
After the show we tried ONE MORE TIME for Santa pics....

Yep. Not happening! lol
Rylie's just telling Santa all about what she wants while Remy's having a breakdown.

Pretty Rylie picture with Santa!

"You sure you dont want to sit there Remy?" LOL Drama queen!

On our way out!
